Holy Tibet English program began its trial broadcasting on May 1, 2001. On May 1, 2002, the program started official broadcasting. The group of Holy Tibet English program producers developed from previous one to current seven persons. Program content improved from monopoly pattern with news and music to present four sections including news, news feature, tourism, and music. Holy Tibet English group presents our audiences six new programs in a week including one music program at the weekend. In January 2006, according to the requirements of foreign office of TAR Party Committee Publicity Department, holy Tibet program added a new section titled Eyes on Tibet.

At present, the program become structurally more complete targeted orientated, and time-effective, which increased its attractiveness and influence among the audiences. Letters from the foreign audience shows that Holy Tibet program has become an important window to understand Tibet. The program establishes a good credibility with accurate and timely news reports, useful information on travel services and unique music of Tibet.
